Who am i

I am Angelo Barulli, a professional tattoo artist with around 12 years of experience. I specialize in neotraditional tattoos, striving to combine elegance and wearability while enhancing each body as a unique canvas.

My goal is to create decorative tattoos that not only tell stories but also fit perfectly with the wearer’s body. Ornamental design is very important to me as it has the power to make each piece truly “one of a kind.” I enjoy refining every detail of the process and take great satisfaction in seeking a balance between the aesthetic and symbolic aspects of tattooing.

Before venturing into tattooing, I always loved drawing. As a child, I spent hours sketching comics—an experience that sparked my creativity. As I grew up, I discovered the world of tattooing through a friend, and from that moment, I decided to dedicate myself entirely to it.

I entered the world of tattooing driven by my love for the Neotraditional style, a modern evolution of Western Traditional that emphasizes elegance, detail, and harmonious compositions, often drawing inspiration from Art Nouveau. After years dedicated to this style, I experienced a creative plateau and decided to explore Blackwork, a black ink style that focuses on “dark” themes and organic subjects, which deeply captivated me. Today, I strive to merge the techniques I’ve learned from both styles and infuse them with my passions to create unique works that always respect the rules of the skin.
